Head of AI
Blood · Singapore
About The Role
- What success looks like (First 100 Days)
- -
- A ranked, org-wide AI opportunity portfolio ; top use cases scored on ROI, that leadership trusts as the roadmap.
- -
- A living document, AI-capability audit that maps opportunities for AI augmentation or replacement at the role-task-level
- -
- A meaningful number of use cases live in daily production use (not dead pilots), each with quantified impact (revenue increased or cost avoided), and cost:.
- -
- Demonstrable headcount leverage , specific roles or hires we didn't need to make because AI absorbed the work.
- -
- Adoption you can measure: every function running at least one AI workflow in regular use, with leaders who can articulate what's working.
- -
- Solid foundations: workflows that respond fast, are easy for humans to steer and correct, and are integrated deeply enough into our tools to be trusted.
- Core responsibilities
- Find and rank the opportunities (strategy)
- -
- Map where AI creates the most value across every function; build and maintain the prioritised portfolio with clear ROI logic.
- -
- Pressure-test ideas hard, kill the low-value ones early, defend the high-value ones with evidence. (This is the critical-thinking core of the role.)
- Build and ship
-
Deploy AI use-cases in an agile manner, from prototyping, to MVPs, to products, processes and workflows.
-
Use stakeholder time efficiently across user discovery, brainstorming, product iterations and user acceptance
-
Examples in our world: creative/content throughput for Blood & NDO across TikTok Shop/Shopee; KAM and trade comms; market-entry and competitive research; demand and supply planning support; finance and reporting tasks on top of; SOP and onboarding content, and much more
- Enable and coach the org (adoption)
- -
- Help function leaders and their teams see what's possible, then bring them along, training, hands-on pairing, and removing friction.
- Own the plumbing (foundations)
-
Ensure the hygiene factors are genuinely handled: speed of response by AI, easy human-in-the-loop input and correction, and depth of integration into our actual systems. Set sensible guardrails for data, access, and review.
Who you are
Must-haves
- -
- Exceptional critical thinking and prioritisation, you can look at a messy org and find the few highest-leverage moves.
- -
- A builder's instinct: you've shipped things, can prototype with AI tooling, and aren't afraid to get hands dirty (even if you later orchestrate others).
- -
- Strong influence and communication, you can help leaders see the value clearly and coach a team to wield AI better.
- -
- Bias to action and ownership, you ship something useful in weeks, not quarters.
- -
- Comfortable challenging the default and pushing back on leadership, including the founders, with evidence.
Nice-to-haves
-
PM background or similar (structured thinker, comfortable owning outcomes across functions).
-
Exposure to FMCG, e-commerce/retail, or fast-scaling startups.
-
Hands-on familiarity with current AI tooling (agents, automation, prompt/workflow design, integrations).
How the role works
You sit in the Founder's Office with an org-wide mandate, which means you partner with every function head rather than owning a single P&L. You'll work closely with the founders, Country GMs and Function Heads on prioritisation and with function leaders on execution
