Eilan Hotel and Spa in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to lead and manage the maintenance operations. Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment, including machinery and systems, to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues, assess equipment condition, and implement preventive measures. Lead and mentor a team of junior technicians, providing training on safe and efficient maintenance practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with other maintenance teams and hotel departments to ensure a coordinated approach to facility upkeep and guest satisfaction. Document all maintenance activities, equipment issues, and repairs accurately, maintaining detailed records for future reference and analysis. Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices, attending relevant training and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge. Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests. Communicate effectively with hotel management, providing timely updates on maintenance activities, and addressing any concerns or queries promptly. Assist in developing and implementing innovative maintenance strategies to optimize equipment lifespan, minimize downtime, and reduce operational costs. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper waste management and disposal practices.

CPO certification is preferred, or extensive experience in heavy equipment maintenance with a proven track record of success. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar maintenance leadership role, demonstrating strong technical skills and a deep understanding of heavy machinery operations. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and analytical approach to identifying and resolving complex equipment issues. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team of technicians, fostering a positive and safe work environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with diverse teams and provide clear instructions and updates. Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and outdoor conditions, with the stamina to perform physical tasks. A safety-conscious mindset, with a commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe work culture, and a willingness to lead by example. A continuous learning attitude, staying updated with industry trends and technologies, and adapting to new maintenance practices and equipment. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with the ability to travel for off-site equipment maintenance tasks as required. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
