SAP Upgrade Project Manager Subcontractor

SAP Upgrade Project Manager (LATAM) We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead SAP upgrade initiatives ( e.g ., ECC or S/4HANA version upgrades , SPS/FPS, enhancement packs) for existing SAP landscapes . This role focuses on technical and functional upgrades , not new SAP implementations . Key Responsibilities Plan and manage end-to-end SAP upgrade projects , including preparation , execution , testing , and cutover Coordinate cross-functional teams (Basis, Functional , ABAP, Security, Testing ) across onshore / offshore models Manage upgrade timelines, risks , dependencies , and change freezes Drive stakeholder communication , status reporting , and executive- level updates Ensure adherence to SAP best practices , release management , and validation requirements Required Experience 5+ years of SAP project management experience , with direct ownership of SAP upgrades Strong understanding of SAP upgrade cycles (S/4HANA, ECC, SPS/FPS, technical upgrades ) Experience working with distributed teams in nearshore / offshore (LATAM) delivery models Solid background in cutover planning , testing coordination , and defect management PMP or equivalent certification preferred ; SAP experience required Nice to Have Experience in regulated environments ( e.g ., life sciences , SOX, GxP ) Familiarity with SAP AMS or post-upgrade support transitions
