Trattoria Host

Greet, seat and cater to the needs of the restaurant guests. Take payment and to-go orders, seat guests, and assist co-workers with their duties to ensure the best service for the guest.

Must handle cash, credit, and vouchers. Must understand and practice Family Style Service with all guest and team members. Will rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Must assist bussers and servers with basic daily duties. Required to replenish supplies (i.e. salt/pepper, ketchup, etc.). All other duties as assigned.

Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance. Must be committed to 100% customer service! Must also be able to stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be physically able to lift up to 30lbs, bend, stoop, climb, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment. Must be at least 19. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation. High School Diploma or equivalent. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
