TI’s legal department is seeking a talented Patent Attorney with a background in an area such as digital signal processors, microcontrollers, processor architecture, wireless communication circuitry, analog circuit design, and/or semiconductor device manufacturing. As a Patent Attorney at TI, you will immerse yourself in our cutting-edge technologies, developing a thorough understanding that will enable you to create inventive patent strategies. Key Responsibilities: Conducting in-depth analysis of various technologies. Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in alignment with strategic goals. Collaborating with engineering teams to identify patentable inventions. Developing and maintaining a portfolio of patents in the designated area of expertise. Providing legal counsel on patent-related matters, including infringement and licensing. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field Juris Doctor (JD) degree with an active license to practice law 4+ years of patent application drafting and prosecution experience Registration as a patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Admission in good standing with a state legal bar Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree preferred 3+ years of experience as an engineer or scientist in a technical role Experience and familiarity with digital signal processors, microcontrollers, processor architecture, wireless communication circuitry, analog circuit design, and/or semiconductor device manufacturing
