Tech Lead/Senior Go Developer (Payments)

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead/Senior Go Developer to design and build reliable backend services for billing and payment processing systems.

This role requires strong expertise in Go backend architecture and hands-on experience integrating with payment providers and financial infrastructure.

You will work on systems responsible for payment processing, billing logic, provider integrations and transaction workflows, ensuring reliability, scalability and correctness of financial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for billing, payments, and transaction processing
• Integrate with external payment providers and financial APIs
• Develop reliable transaction workflows, including retries, reconciliation, and failure handling
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and correctness of financial operations
• Write maintainable, well-tested production code
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve payment and transaction flows
• Contribute to backend architecture and technical decision-making

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Go, including concurrency and service architecture
• Experience designing and operating high-availability production systems
• Strong experience with billing, payments, or other transaction-heavy systems
• Hands-on experience integrating payment providers or payment gateways
• Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Strong understanding of transactional systems, consistency, and failure handling

Important: Hands-on experience with payment or billing systems is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with multiple payment providers and subscription billing systems
• Experience operating high-load distributed systems
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms
• Experience with observability tooling, including metrics, tracing, and logging
