Senior Go Developer (Payments)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Go Developer to design and build reliable backend services for billing and payment processing systems.

This role requires strong hands-on experience in Go and proven ability integrating with payment providers and financial infrastructure.

You will work on systems responsible for payment processing, billing logic, provider integrations and transaction workflows, ensuring reliability, scalability and correctness of financial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain backend services for billing, payments, and transaction processing
• Integrate with external payment providers and financial APIs
• Develop reliable transaction workflows, including retries, reconciliation, idempotency, and failure handling
• Write maintainable, well-tested production code
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve payment and transaction flows

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Go, including concurrency and production service development
• Hands-on experience with payment or billing systems, including provider integrations, subscription billing, or reconciliation workflows
• Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous processing, and event-driven systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Strong understanding of transactional systems, consistency, idempotency, and failure handling
• Ability to own and debug production code in live payment environments

Important: Hands-on experience with payment or billing systems is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with multiple payment providers
• Experience with subscription billing systems
• Experience working with high-load backend systems
• Knowledge of distributed systems architecture
• Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Experience with observability tools (metrics, tracing, logging)
