Ecolab is seeking an HR Manager I to support our Greensboro, NC site and will have responsibility for over 375 associates and leaders. This role will also have leadership responsibility for an HR Partner supporting the High Point and Asheville sites. As an HR Manager I , you will be a trusted advisor to people leaders and a catalyst for high-performing teams. You will bring practical HR expertise, sound judgment, and data-driven insight to the moments that matter—helping managers coach, develop, engage, and retain talent while creating a consistent, positive employee experience. Working closely with Centers of Excellence, Strategic HR Partners, Shared Services, and business leaders, you will translate enterprise people priorities into local impact and help shape a culture where associates can grow, contribute, and do their best work. What’s In It For You The opportunity to build a career in HR with a global company that tackles meaningful challenges in water, hygiene, and infection prevention A highly visible, business-facing role where your coaching, judgment, and problem-solving will directly influence team performance and employee experience A collaborative HR model that gives you exposure to Centers of Excellence, Shared Services, business HR teams, and business leaders Development opportunities in a company that values growth, inclusion, diverse perspectives, and continuous improvement A comprehensive benefits package beginning day one of employment What You Will Do Coach and advise managers on performance, development, engagement, employee relations, and workforce decisions Use data, insights, and sound HR judgment to help leaders build high-performing teams and address emerging talent needs Support implementation of enterprise HR programs and COE-led processes across your client groups Partner with Strategic HR Partners, COEs, Shared Services, Legal, and business leaders to deliver consistent, compliant, and practical HR solutions Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters with care, speed, and appropriate partnership Support performance management, development planning, talent movement, and localized talent initiatives Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve HR processes and the employee experience Foster a positive work environment that supports engagement, well-being, inclusion, and Ecolab’s culture Help managers and associates embrace new ways of working and navigate change effectively Ensure HR practices align with Ecolab policies and applicable legal, safety, and regulatory requirements Key Accountabilities Enable leaders to make thoughtful people decisions using data, insights, and enterprise HR guidance Deliver timely, balanced, and well-documented employee relations support Build manager capability through coaching, tools, and practical problem-solving Strengthen employee experience by connecting enterprise programs to local business needs Surface feedback, trends, and opportunities that help COEs and HR partners improve programs and processes Promote compliance, consistency, and responsible risk management across people practices How Success Is Measured Success in this role will be measured by your ability to help leaders create stronger teams, improve the employee experience, and deliver HR support that is trusted, responsive, and aligned to business outcomes. Managers are better equipped to coach, develop, and retain talent Employee relations matters are addressed thoughtfully, consistently, and in a timely manner Engagement, retention, and employee experience indicators sustain or improve HR programs are implemented with quality, consistency, and strong adoption Workforce agility improves through effective talent movement and development planning Leaders view HR as a practical, trusted, and insight-driven partner Key Interactions People managers and business leaders Strategic HR Partners Centers of Excellence, including Talent, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and HR Operations Shared Services and HR support teams Legal, Compliance, Safety, Finance, and other corporate functions Plant, field, and/or corporate associates, depending on client group Position Details Location: Greensboro, NC Work Mode: On-Site Minimum Qualifications The ideal candidate is an adaptable HR professional who combines strong employee relations judgment with business acumen, curiosity, and a passion for helping people and teams succeed. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partner, employee relations, or manager coaching experience in a plant and/or distribution center Demonstrated ability to advise leaders, resolve complex people matters, and balance employee experience with business needs Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills Ability to use data and insights to inform recommendations and improve outcomes No immigration sponsorship available for this position Preferred Qualifications These experiences will help you stand out and contribute quickly in this role: Experience partnering across a matrixed HR model with COEs and Shared Services Working knowledge of employment practices, employee relations, compliance, and HR policies Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders Experience with HR systems, workforce data, dashboards, or analytics SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification Annual or Hourly Compensation Range The base salary range for this position is $107,600.00 - $161,500.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
