Join BlueScope’s  Australian Steel Markets  business as an  Account Coordinator  in our  Customer Service  team, based in  Port Kembla, NSW . This is a  full-time permanent  opportunity in a growing market where you’ll help customers keep projects moving, work across orders and operations, and build a long-term future with BlueScope. In this  hybrid  role, you’ll work four days in the office and one day from home, with  on-site parking ,  14% super  and  10%   annual bonus eligibility  as part of the package. This role includes one day per fortnight in our Chullora office, where you'll collaborate with and build connections across the wider team.

As the  trusted point of contact for your customer portfolio , you’ll build strong relationships, navigate supply chain challenges, coordinate complex orders and work across teams including sales, supply chain and manufacturing to deliver a customer experience that is clear, responsive and dependable. What You’ll Do

You’ll be joining a supportive team that works closely together, looks out for one another, and values genuine connection as much as strong customer outcomes. You will:

  • own the customer experience for a dedicated portfolio of accounts and become a trusted day-to-day contact
  • work closely with internal teams to coordinate orders, solve problems and deliver outcomes aligned to customer needs and business priorities
  • provide clear, timely updates on product and service matters so customers feel informed and supported at every stage
  • bring calm, clarity and follow-through when priorities shift or challenges arise
  • use customer feedback, service trends, and data to uncover insights and help improve the customer experience over time
  • identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, contributing ideas that make things easier for both customers and internal teams

More About You

You’re someone who enjoys being relied on. You build trust through follow-through, communicate clearly, and stay composed when priorities shift. You take pride in getting the detail right because you know it shapes the customer’s experience and helps keep things moving for the people you support. You’ll bring:

  • experience in customer service, account coordination, internal sales support or B2B service environments such as manufacturing, logistics, building materials, wholesale or similar
  • confidence building relationships and working through challenges with empathy, sound judgement and clear communication
  • strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and practically across phone, email and stakeholder conversations
  • high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the customer experience
  • a customer-first mindset with curiosity and initiative, including the ability to identify patterns and look for better ways of working
  • confidence using digital systems and tools including Excel, CRM or ERP platforms, with the adaptability to learn and work through process and system change
  • a willingness to travel to our Chullora office once per fortnight to connect and collaborate with the wider team
