About the Role

We are hiring a skilled WordPress Developer to build, customize, optimize, and maintain high-performing WordPress websites for growing businesses.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical WordPress expertise with a sharp eye for design, performance, SEO, and user experience. You will work closely with marketing, content, and design teams to develop websites that are visually polished, responsive, fast-loading, and conversion-focused.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling everything from custom page builds and plugin integrations to performance optimization and troubleshooting.

What You’ll Own

WordPress Development & Customization

  • Build and customize WordPress websites using Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Gutenberg, or custom development
  • Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and child themes
  • Create responsive landing pages, blogs, and website templates optimized for user experience and conversions
  • Customize layouts and functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

Plugin Management & Integrations

  • Install, configure, and customize WordPress plugins such as WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, Contact Form 7, and Advanced Custom Fields
  • Troubleshoot plugin conflicts and ensure compatibility across updates
  • Extend site functionality through custom PHP development when required
  • Integrate third-party tools, CRMs, analytics platforms, and marketing systems

Website Performance & SEO Optimization

  • Optimize website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall site performance
  • Implement caching, image optimization, lazy loading, CDN integration, and code minification
  • Run audits using Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix, and PageSpeed Insights
  • Apply SEO best practices including metadata, schema, heading structure, and mobile optimization

Website Maintenance & Security

  • Manage WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates
  • Monitor website uptime, backups, and security protocols
  • Implement security best practices using tools such as Wordfence, Sucuri, or iThemes Security
  • Troubleshoot bugs, broken layouts, hosting issues, and website errors quickly and efficiently

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with marketing and design teams to launch campaigns and website updates
  • Convert Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch designs into responsive WordPress pages
  • Support non-technical team members with CMS-related updates and workflows
  • Maintain organized staging environments, documentation, and deployment processes

  • Experience managing hosting environments such as WP Engine, SiteGround, Kinsta, or cPanel hosting
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Familiarity with website speed optimization and technical SEO best practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills

Preferred Experience

  • WooCommerce development and e-commerce website experience
  • Experience building or extending custom WordPress plugins
  • Familiarity with Git workflows and staging/deployment environments
  • Experience with APIs, CRM integrations, or marketing automation tools
  • Background working with agencies, SaaS companies, or high-growth brands
