At Junior Adventures Group (JAG), we’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Casual Playworkers / Activity Leaders to join our team and support our Breakfast & After School Clubs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible work, whether you're balancing studies, family commitments, another job, or simply looking for a rewarding role where every day is different.
From football and team games to arts & crafts, creative challenges, and structured play, you'll help create fun, engaging experiences where children aged 4–11 can learn, grow, and have fun.
🕒 Working Hours
Our club operates
Monday to Friday
- Breakfast Club: 07:30 – 09:00
- After School Club: 15:00 – 18:00
This is a casual role , where you’ll be offered shifts based on the needs of the club, including
- Staff sickness cover
- Annual leave cover
- Additional support during busier sessions
- Holiday Club opportunities where available
- As more regular or permanent hours become available, these may be offered to members of our casual team first.
- 🚀 About the Role
- As a Casual Playworker, you'll support our team in delivering high-quality childcare and creating a safe, welcoming, and exciting environment for children.
- You'll help deliver a variety of activities, support daily routines, and ensure every child feels included, valued, and ready for adventure.
- No two sessions are the same — one day could involve sports and team challenges, while another might be filled with crafts, games, and creative play!
- 🌈 What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver fun, age-appropriate activities including multi-sports, arts & crafts, games, and creative play
- Support children with enthusiasm, care, and positivity
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
- Set up and tidy away activity areas and equipment
- Prepare snacks and support sign-in and sign-out procedures
- Encourage children's confidence, creativity, and teamwork
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver excellent childcare experiences

- Loves working with children and brings a positive, can-do attitude
- Is reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic
- Enjoys being creative and making sessions fun
- Can build positive relationships with children quickly
- Is confident supporting activities and working as part of a team
Experience is welcomed but not essential. We'd love to hear from candidates with backgrounds in
- Childcare
- Playwork
- Teaching Assistant roles
- Sports Coaching
- Youth Work
- Education
- Activity Leadership
- Drama, Dance, or Performing Arts

- This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 .
Successful applicants will be required to

- Undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Provide appropriate documentation to support the vetting process
