About The Role

  • Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturdays required; overtime as needed
  • Pay: Starting at $24/hour (higher based on experience)

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder / Fabrication Specialist to build and assemble aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal components. This position focuses on precision welding, layout, and fabrication of handrails and custom metal products in a fast-paced shop environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, fit, and weld handrails and miscellaneous metal products according to engineering drawings and shop specifications.
  • Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel, producing clean, structurally sound welds.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and fabrication instructions.
  • Complete layout, measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembly of metal components before welding.
  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including saws, notchers, grinders, and common hand tools.
  • Use jigs, fixtures, clamps, and precision measuring tools to align components for accurate fit-up.
  • Move materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead lifting equipment when required.
  • Maintain production goals while following established quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for efficient production.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience performing TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong layout and measuring skills using tape measures and standard hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of shop mathematics, including fractions, measurements, and basic geometry.
  • Ability to identify and resolve fit-up, layout, and welding issues with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using fabrication equipment and metalworking tools.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting with changing priorities and deadlines.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds .
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching throughout the workday.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements required for fabrication and welding tasks.
  • Close visual attention is required to inspect fit-up, alignment, and weld quality.
