About The Role
Role Overview
The Instrument Control Engineer will be responsible for engineering, design, installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for Oil & Gas projects, preferably Saudi Aramco–compliant projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in I&C engineering and strict adherence to international and Aramco standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering for instrumentation and control systems for Oil & Gas facilities.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables including Instrument Index, I/O List, Datasheets, Loop Diagrams, Hook-up Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, and Control Philosophies.
- Design and review control systems such as DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, and F&G systems.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES), IEC, IEEE, ISA, and international codes.
- Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, and piping disciplines during project execution.
- Review vendor documents and ensure technical compliance with project specifications.
- Support FAT, SAT, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues during execution and operation phases.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and safety review studies as required.
- Provide technical support to site teams and contractors.
