Gastroenterologist MD/DO - Lima, Ohio

Commonwealth Medical Services is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join our expanding digestive health program in Lima, Ohio. This position provides an excellent opportunity to build a thriving practice supported by a strong referral network and modern endoscopy facilities. The physician will diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders while collaborating with primary care physicians and specialists to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
• Perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures and other diagnostic interventions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients regarding gastrointestinal health, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Eligible for unrestricted Ohio medical licensure.
• Excellent clinical and procedural skills.
• Strong communication and patient management abilities.
