An academic Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Greenville, North Carolina is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to provide care on a CARF-accredited inpatient pediatric rehabilitation unit within a tertiary medical center. Fixed-term or tenure-track positions are available. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
The PM&R department serves the rehabilitation needs of approximately 1.4 million people across a 29-county region and is housed within a comprehensive rehabilitation center that includes Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, General Rehabilitation, and Pediatric Rehabilitation units . The medical center’s 75-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit is among a small number of facilities in the U.S. accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in 11 or more specialty areas and is designated as a center of excellence within the health system.

Requirements
Education & Training
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required
- Completion of an accredited Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency program
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation preferred or eligibility through a pediatric-focused training pathway
- New graduates encouraged to apply
Certification & Licensure
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
- Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine preferred
- Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted North Carolina medical license
- Eligible for hospital privileges
