About The Role
We are looking for a Geography Teacher for an international school in Beijing. This is position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in August 2026.
About the school
This is a K-12 school located in Haidian, and consists of an international school for foreigners' children, a kindergarten, and a bilingual school. The campus covers a built-up area of 162,000 square meters and includes a 400-meter track, professional theater, multi-purpose hall, kindergarten, student dormitory buildings, faculty dormitory buildings, several sports facilities and libraries.
Job Responsibilities
- Teach the subject of Geography to high school students, following the AP curriculum framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
- Prepare lessons, assessments and learning materials that support students’ academic progress and subject understanding
- Monitor and assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and support students in reaching their learning goals
- Maintain regular and positive communication with parents regarding student progress, learning needs and overall development
- Support students’ daily development by promoting positive behaviour, strong study habits and a respectful classroom environment
- Create a supportive and well-managed classroom culture that encourages participation, responsibility and academic growth
- Work closely with other teachers and school staff to support students’ academic and emotional development
- Participate actively in school activities, meetings, events and field trips, while contributing to a positive and collaborative school atmosphere
- Handle student issues appropriately and report any major concerns to the school in a timely manner
- Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
- Teaching certificate
- Two or more years teaching experience in the subject
- Excellent communications skills
Salary and benefits
- Monthly salary 29,000 to 35,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Monthly housing allowance of 7,000 RMB
- Relocation Allowance: From outside China 10,000 RMB, plus 5,000 per eligible dependent
- Flight/Train Ticket: Single trip air/train ticket to Beijing for staff and eligible dependents at the beginning of the contract
- Home -school flight benefit: Up to 10,000 RMB for single staff; Up to 20,000 RMB for staff with eligible dependents.
- Supplemental Medical Insurance: Health insurance: up to 20,000 RMB for staff. Up to2 eligible dependents
- Educational Benefits for Children: All children of an international teacher can have100% remission on tuition fees.
- Sick leave with pay: 5 days, can be compensated at 100% according to one's salary standard if not used at the end of each school year
- PD Fund: Teaching staff -10,000 RMB/year or roll over up to 20,000 RMB over 2 years.
- Working Meals: All three working meals during the term
- Longevity Bonus: 2 years-20,000RMB at the 3rd year, 50,000RMB at the 6th year, From10th year on-100,000 RMB/year
