Station Operations Manager (Cold Chain)

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Capacity Planning
- -
- Ensure sufficient capacity for parcel collection and delivery
- -
- Drive high SLA performance and timeslot adherence
- -
- Minimise product damages and defrosting incidents
- Cost & Performance Management
- -
- Manage operating costs in line with budget targets (~$350K/month)
- -
- Monitor financial and operational performance metrics
- -
- Implement cost optimisation initiatives
- SOP Governance & Compliance
- -
- Ensure adherence to operational SOPs across processes, equipment, and facilities
- -
- Maintain compliance with cold chain handling standards
- -
- Drive consistency in execution across the station
- Process Improvement & Optimisation
- -
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
- -
- Optimise workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity
- -
- Drive operational innovation and scalability
Leadership & Team Management
- -
- Lead and develop a team of ~20 staff (supervisors, drivers, sorters)
- -
- Set performance goals and drive accountability across the team
- -
- Act as the primary communication channel for policies and updates
- -
- Work hands-on with the team on the ground to resolve issues and remove barriers
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- -
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or cold chain operations
- -
- Proven experience managing teams of 10+ employees
- -
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making
- -
- Experience in Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies (preferred)
- -
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- -
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- -
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
- -
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is an advantage
