- Receiving, Inventory, and Material Control
- Unload incoming shipments and verify received items against packing slips, purchase orders, bills of lading, or other applicable documentation.
- Accurately receive materials into the ERP system, including SAP or similar business systems, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain proper identification, organization, and storage of materials to support efficient retrieval and inventory control.
- Track stock levels and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Investigate, document, and report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or receiving issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain organized and accurate filing and storage of shipping, receiving, inventory, and related operational documentation.
- Order Fulfillment and Shipping
- Pick materials, parts, and products from shelves, bins, racks, or designated storage areas based on work orders, sales orders, or internal requests.
- Pack materials for shipment using appropriate methods and materials to ensure accuracy, protection, and cost-effective transportation.
- Prepare orders for customer delivery, carrier shipment, or internal/external pickup in a timely manner to meet operational requirements and customer expectations.
- Coordinate with customers and internal personnel to plan, arrange, and communicate shipment details as needed.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation and update related records in company systems.
- Production, Assembly, and Shop Support
- Deliver and stage materials, components, and supplies for production and assembly operations.
- Understand departmental workflows, shop processes, and assembly requirements to ensure materials are available when and where needed.
- Assist technicians with pump repairs and related shop support activities, including moving parts, staging materials, and supporting general repair workflow.
- Collaborate with technicians and operations personnel to support daily productivity and maintain smooth workflow across warehouse and shop functions.
- Equipment Operation and Material Handling
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, hoists, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and position materials.
- Move materials efficiently within the warehouse, shop, production areas, and yard/compound as required.
- Inspect equipment before use and report operational concerns, maintenance needs, or safety issues promptly.
- Warehouse, Yard, and Facility Organization
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse environment, including aisles, storage areas, workstations, and staging locations.
- Support cleanliness and organization in the compound/yard area, including proper storage, material placement, and housekeeping.
- Dispose of waste, packaging, scrap, and other materials in accordance with established procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Communication and Operational Support
- Use computers and company applications to enter, update, and manage inventory, shipping, receiving, and material movement records.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of ERP systems, or the ability to quickly learn and effectively use ERP software such as SAP.
- Communicate material shortages, shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, process concerns, or other operational issues to management in a timely manner.
