Essential Functions
- Provide leadership and direction to the team and encourage an attitude of continuous improvement in their day-to-day activities.
- Review and approve journal entries that cross-company and are in various currencies.
- Ensure account reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify areas of process improvement and work with the team on implementation.
- Work with the HR team to ensure proper accounting of all payroll-related transactions.
- Work closely with the Sales Operations team to identify unknown deposits and issue customer refunds.
- Understand and own the accounting side of the credit card processes including reconciliations.
- Assist as needed in acquisition-related activities including system and policy integration.
- Assist as needed in the annual external audit process, both domestic and foreign.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience supervising a team and developing staff.
- Experience with multiple subsidiaries and foreign currencies transactions.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to interpret and implement new accounting guidance in an increasingly complex business environment.
- Operational experience with a major accounting system (such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA certification are preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can work effectively with people outside of the accounting functio.
- Experience in documenting and improving existing systems and processes.
AI Fluency
Level 1: Basic AI User (Foundation): Uses approved AI tools to support daily work, writes basic prompts, and reviews outputs for accuracy while following security, privacy, and Responsible AI guidelines.
