MEP Engineer (HVAC & Energy Auditing)

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer with specialization in HVAC systems and energy auditing. The role involves performing heat load calculations, reviewing mechanical/electrical/plumbing designs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The engineer will support project planning, design validation, and energy efficiency initiatives, contributing to both residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed heat load calculations and HVAC system sizing.
• Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Perform energy audits and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure design accuracy.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and compliance submissions.
• Provide input on material specifications and equipment selection.
• Support project execution with on-site inspections and technical guidance.

• Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (required).
• Professional license or certification preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on HVAC systems.
• Proven experience in heat load calculations and energy auditing.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Trace 700, AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and sustainability practices.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel and technical reporting tools.
