About The Role
Global Practices Resource Manager
- capSpire is seeking a Resource Manager for the Global Practices Business Unit. This role is responsible for
- aligning staffing demand with available talent to improve utilization, reduce bench costs, strengthen delivery
- execution, and support profitable growth within the practice.
- The Resource Manager will oversee the day-to-day resource planning lifecycle — including demand
- forecasting, staffing, bench management, utilization tracking, and onboarding coordination — ensuring the
- right resources are deployed to the right work at the right time.
- This role partners closely with other Resource Managers, Practice Leadership, Sales, and HR to improve
- staffing visibility, workforce planning, and operational execution across the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Planning & Staffing
- Manage staffing operations for the Global Practices Business Unit, aligning resources to project
demand based on skill, experience, availability, geography, and client need.
- Partner with Practice Leadership and the commercial team to prioritize staffing needs and resolve
resource gaps.
- Support cross-practice staffing and redeployment efforts to balance utilization and delivery demand.
Demand Forecasting & Capacity Planning
- Translate pipeline and backlog into forward-looking staffing demand.
- Maintain rolling capacity plans to identify utilization gaps, staffing risks, and future hiring needs.
- Partner with Sales and Practice Leadership to improve forecast accuracy and staffing readiness.
- Support hiring decisions through demand and capacity analysis.
Utilization & Bench Management
- Monitor utilization performance and bench levels across the practice.
- Proactively manage bench through redeployment, cross-skilling, training, and staffing acceleration
activities.
- Track bench aging and reduce avoidable non-billable time.
- Partner with Delivery leadership to improve conversion of allocated time into billed revenue.
- Partner with other Resource Managers to enable cross-practice staffing.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Maintain accurate staffing, allocation, and utilization data within RM and PSA systems.
- Develop reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into utilization, bench, staffing demand, and
resource availability.
- Support staffing governance processes, staffing reviews, and resource planning cadences.
- Help drive consistency and operational discipline across RM processes and workflows.
Key Performance Indicators
Success in this role will be measured through improvements in
- Practice utilization
- Bench aging and bench costs
- Time-to-staff open roles
- Forecast accuracy
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Consulting Operations, or
Professional Services Operations.
- Experience supporting staffing or workforce planning within a consulting, technology services, or
professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of utilization management, staffing operations, and professional services
delivery models.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with PSA/resource planning tools and reporting platforms.
- Ability to build strong relationships across Delivery, Sales, HR, and Practice Leadership.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
