Role: Senior Executive – Operational Excellence / PMO Location: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru Reporting to: Lead Program Management Team Name: Program Management About the Team and the Role: The Mission: Engineer the Way We Work Most engineering roles focus entirely on designing the physical product; this role focuses on optimizing the "Machine that builds the Machine." Your mission is to bring a fresh lens to our product development cycle. You will take the visual discipline and principles of Lean Manufacturing and apply them to the fast-paced world of R&D. Just as a high-efficiency factory relies on a seamless assembly line, our engineering cycle relies on a smooth, uninhibited flow of ideas, designs, and prototypes. You will visually map out how work moves, hunt down operational wastage (Muda), and design the execution mechanics that keep projects moving smoothly. Responsibilities: Map and Visualize Flow: Learn our physical manufacturing processes to understand true "Lean," then apply that exact mindset to map out the R&D cycle. You will identify exactly how a concept moves from a sketch to final validation, pinpointing where work gets bottlenecked. Eliminate Waste: Master the ability to spot hidden operational inefficiencies. You will look for friction points like prototypes sitting idle in testing loops, designs stuck in redundant approval gates, or valuable engineering hours lost to fragmented communication. Hands-on, Ground-Zero Problem Solving: This is not a desk-bound job. When a project faces a delay, you will go straight to the trenches—shadowing technicians, auditing prototype bays, or working on the assembly floor to diagnose the friction point and collaboratively help unblock the task. Build Visual Tracking Systems: Turn immediate, manual fixes into permanent, scalable workflows. You will help build and maintain transparent, visual dashboards and repositories to ensure engineering blockers are instantly visible and cross-functional teams stay aligned A Fresh Lens on Project Success Within the Program Management team, this role offers a specialized focus. While the broader team orchestrates macro milestones, cross-functional strategy, and overall program delivery, your focus is on process optimization and execution mechanics. You will act as an internal operational specialist, improving the day-to-day engineering workflows that make major program milestones achievable. Experience and Qualifications: Required qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering Experience - 0 to 3 Years Must have Competencies: First-Principles Thinking: You have a <B.Tech/M.Tech>, but you value logic over hierarchy. You’re not afraid of getting your hands greasy if it means getting to the root cause of a delay. The "Doer" Mentality: You have the humility to step in and pick up the metaphorical (or literal) parts to keep the line moving today, and the analytical mind to design the system that ensures they never fall again tomorrow. Systems Obsessed: You hate inefficiency more than you hate manual labor. You see patterns where others see chaos, and you aren't satisfied until the process is as high-performance as the scooter itself. Data Detective: You understand that a dashboard is only as good as the truth it represents. You enjoy the "detective work" required to hunt down data and ensure its absolute integrity. Good to have Competencies: Mindset: A Lean mindset and a "Ground-Zero" approach to problem-solving. Grit: The ability to move between a high-level strategy meeting and a messy prototype bay without missing a beat.
