About The Role
Role: Associate Manager - Facilities Location: Bidkin, Aurangabad Reporting to: Plant Head / Admin Head Team name: Plant Administration / Facilities About the Team and the Role The Plant Administration / Facilities team at Ather is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted facility operations in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on safety, statutory compliance, workforce efficiency, and cost optimization. The team oversees transport logistics, contract workforce management, canteen and in-house kitchen operations, housekeeping, security, and plant infrastructure to support 24/7 production requirements. This role is for an Associate Manager - Facilities who will lead end-to-end plant administration and facility operations to ensure seamless manufacturing continuity, compliance adherence, and high service quality standards across all shifts. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end 24/7 employee transportation, including route planning, fleet optimization, vehicle maintenance, driver compliance, and escalation handling. Oversee deployment, attendance, productivity, and statutory compliance (ESI, PF, wages) for contract manpower across housekeeping, security, and kitchen functions. Govern canteen and in-house kitchen operations across all shifts, ensuring FSSAI hygiene standards, menu planning, and cost/wastage control. Implement and sustain 5S practices, plant hygiene, and cleanliness standards across production floors, offices, and common facilities through periodic audits. Direct plant security operations, including gate management, material movement, access control, CCTV surveillance, and emergency response/mock drills. Coordinate upkeep and preventive maintenance of plant infrastructure (non-production areas) by monitoring AMC contracts and collaborating with engineering teams. Lead vendor management lifecycle across facilities services, including contract negotiations, SLA tracking, budget monitoring, and invoice validation. Ensure comprehensive compliance with labor laws, factory regulations, and EHS protocols to maintain audit readiness and zero safety compromises. Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree 5-8 years of experience in plant administration/facilities in a manufacturing setup, with proven experience handling a large contract workforce and multi-shift operations. Must Have Competencies Comprehensive understanding of large-scale manufacturing plant operations and multi-shift facility management. Advanced expertise in contract labor management, labor laws, and factory statutory compliances. Strong capability in end-to-end vendor management, commercial negotiation, and operational cost control. Proficiency in implementing 5S methodologies, environmental health & safety (EHS) practices, and plant security protocols. Good to Have Competencies Exposure to corporate transport logistics optimization and automated routing mechanisms. Familiarity with food safety management systems and FSSAI audit compliance parameters for large-scale industrial kitchens. Knowledge of managing facility infrastructure upkeep and coordinating Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) for utilities. Experience operating within unionized or semi-unionized workforce environments to maintain industrial harmony. Want to know more?
