Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist

Role: Financial Planning & Analysis – Analyst Location: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru Reporting to: Financial Planning & Analysis – Manager Team name: Financial Planning and Analysis Team About the Team and the Role The Financial Planning and Analysis Team team at Ather is responsible for synthesizing financial forecasts and analyses to drive strategic initiatives, including new business lines, products, and growth initiatives. This role is for a dedicated analyst who will anchor data management and maintain complex financial models to support long-range planning and day-to-day strategic decision-making. Responsibilities Build and maintain complex financial models to synthesize forecasts and analyze new business markets and products. Anchor data management by ensuring the absolute accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data used in reporting. Support financial reporting processes, including MIS closure and robust analysis of plan vs. actual performance. Manage annual and quarterly forecasting processes, including cash flow analysis and monthly cash planning. Identify key trends and risks by monitoring performance and producing in-depth assessment reports for management. Liaison closely with cross-functional departments to systematically monitor performance and operational trends. Provide comprehensive forward-looking outlook forecasts and call out potential risks and opportunities. Support various departments with ad hoc analytical projects and data-driven requests as needed. Experience and Qualifications Chartered Accountant (CA) - preferable; Master's in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics preferred. 4-6 years of experience. Must Have Competencies Expertise in building and maintaining complex financial models to synthesize forecasts and strategic initiatives. Highly skilled and proficient in Excel and Google Spreadsheets for managing copious amounts of raw data. Advanced ability to anchor data management, ensuring high integrity and accuracy of financial reporting. Professional capability in creating and delivering high-impact PowerPoint presentations for management. Good to have Competencies Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex recommendations in a concise and actionable manner. Proven success in collaborating cross-functionally with various departments to monitor organizational performance. Familiarity with analyzing long-range planning and identifying key operational and financial trends. Ability to handle ad hoc analytical projects and support diverse management requests efficiently.
