CNC Fabrication Equipment Operator – 2nd Shift

About The Role
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC fabrication equipment, including plasma cutting systems, beam drill lines, and angle processing machines
- Review blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders to determine production requirements
- Load, position, and secure structural steel materials using overhead cranes and approved rigging methods
- Monitor machine performance and make operational adjustments to maintain quality standards
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools
- Make basic CNC program modifications to accommodate varying material sizes and thicknesses
- Perform routine machine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
- Keep the work area organized and follow OSHA guidelines along with established shop safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus
- At least two years of experience operating CNC equipment in a structural steel fabrication, metal fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings and production documents
- Experience using precision measuring instruments to verify finished parts
- Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging practices is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and contribute effectively within a production team
