Job Type: Direct Hire

Position Summary

We are looking for a Field Supervisor to oversee the installation of custom metal systems such as staircases, railings, and other fabricated components. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining schedules, and ensuring installations meet quality and safety standards on active job sites.

This position serves as the main point of contact in the field and works closely with project teams, contractors, and installation personnel to keep projects moving efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and lead installation crews on commercial construction projects
  • Coordinate daily work activities with general contractors and project teams
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and installation drawings
  • Organize labor, materials, and equipment to keep projects on schedule
  • Verify that team members maintain required certifications and follow established procedures
  • Complete daily job site, equipment, and vehicle inspection reports
  • Monitor and maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles
  • Act as the on-site safety leader by enforcing PPE requirements and site-specific safety plans
  • Conduct toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture throughout the crew

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in miscellaneous metals, structural steel, or architectural metal installation
  • Supervisory or crew leadership experience in a field construction environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and safety documentation
  • Strong math skills, including measurements, angles, and layout calculations
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 standards and welding processes including:
  • SMAW
  • FCAW
  • GMAW
  • GTAW
  • Current welding certifications or the ability to successfully complete a weld test
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation
  • Proven ability to manage crews, schedules, and job-site operations
  • Experience maintaining quality and safety standards on commercial construction projects
