About The Role

  • Schedule: First Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Compensation: Starting at $22.00 per hour, with higher rates available based on experience
  • Additional Hours: Occasional Saturday overtime may be required

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled fabrication professional to support the production of custom steel and architectural metal products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves transforming engineering drawings and fabrication plans into finished assemblies while maintaining high standards for safety, precision, and workmanship.

Successful candidates will have experience working with miscellaneous metals, structural components, and fabricated assemblies, along with the ability to adapt to changing production priorities and project deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble custom metal components including railing systems, stair units, ladders, and related items
  • Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, job tickets, and specifications to ensure accurate production
  • Perform layout, measuring, cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing tasks
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, shears, press brakes, and welding machines
  • Complete welds using FCAW methods and prepare materials for final assembly
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and project timelines
  • Inspect finished components for accuracy and conformance to specifications
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete jobs efficiently
  • Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and suggest practical solutions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area
  • Adjust to shifting job priorities and production demands as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in metal fabrication, especially with miscellaneous metals or railing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
  • Experience performing FCAW welding (certifications are a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in an industrial shop setting
  • Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to support multiple projects

Work Environment

  • Indoor fabrication shop with exposure to dust, welding fumes, exhaust, and paint vapors
  • Regular exposure to noise, moving machinery, and electrical equipment
  • Early start schedule with potential overtime and weekend work
  • Required PPE includes safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection, and appropriate work clothing
  • Long pants required at all times on the shop floor
