Pay Rate: Starting at $22.00 per hour, with higher compensation available based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Technician to join a growing manufacturing team. This position combines MIG welding, grinding, finishing, and assembly work to produce custom metal products used in commercial and industrial applications.

The ideal candidate has welding experience, can read fabrication drawings, and takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on stairs, railings, and custom metal fabrication projects
• Grind and finish welded components to meet quality standards
• Operate an overhead crane safely and efficiently
• Inspect completed welds and metal surfaces for defects or inconsistencies
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Experience with MIG welding techniques
• Familiarity with a variety of welding equipment and fabrication tools
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
• Basic math and geometry skills
• Strong time management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Dependable attendance and a self-motivated, team-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional welding certification
• Experience fabricating or welding stair stringers, railings, or porch components
• Previous experience working with miscellaneous metals fabrication
