Software Engineer (Backend, Test Infrastructure)

Join Affirm as a Software Engineer II in Test Platform Engineering, where you'll contribute to Developer Productivity and play a key role in building and evolving the core testing infrastructure. Your work will directly impact how hundreds of engineers develop, validate, and deliver high-quality software. You'll collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and the team in Europe to continuously improve quality. • Contribuer à l'expansion des capacités de test, à la construction et à la maintenance des frameworks de test, à l'optimisation de l'orchestration des tests.
• Jouer un rôle clé dans la construction et l'évolution de l'infrastructure de test de base qui soutient la productivité des ingénieurs.
• Posséder, améliorer et maintenir les frameworks d'automatisation des tests d'intégration et de bout en bout, ainsi que leurs pipelines CI associés.
• Experience with Docker and AWS
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in asynchronous communication methods such as tech specs, RFCs, wikis, and project plans
• Eager to grow and continuously learn new skills
• Your experience demonstrates that you take ownership of your growth, proactively seeking feedback from your team, your manager, and your stakeholders
• Mobile, infrastructure and performance test automation experience will be considered a significant advantage
• Proficient in both TypeScript and Python
• You have mastered taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, and executing on it by writing clear, easily understood, well tested and extensible code
• Experience in building or enhancing test automation frameworks and infrastructure is highly desirable
• Experience in building and optimizing CI pipelines
• 3+ years of experience in test automation
• Strong background in quality assurance, test design, and in-depth knowledge of testing techniques and methodologies
• An East Coast location to enable smoother collaboration with European colleagues
