About The Role

Join Okta as a Senior UX Researcher, where you'll have the opportunity to influence product and design decisions for our Okta Device Access (ODA) and Okta Verify (OV) products. You'll own the UX roadmap, provide mentorship to junior team members, and grow a research practice aimed at understanding the needs of the ODA and OV teams.   • In this role, you will work as a trusted cross-functional partner on our Okta Device Access (ODA) and Okta Verify (OV) products, and have the opportunity to influence product and design decisions through your work.
  • You will own the UX roadmap for ODA and OV, working closely with your design, product, and engineering partners to ensure that your work is aligned to the highest priority needs of the endpoint identity area.
  • You’ll provide mentorship and coaching to more junior team members, helping raise the quality bar and impact of the team.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management and company personnel
  • Able to leverage research to make the business successful, applying your technical understanding to accomplish company goals
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independently
  • Experience utilizing various research methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess empathy for users, knowledge of and passion for the technical experiences
  • Proficiency in communicating user research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact
  • Experience with products made for developers, administrators, or other technical audiences
  • Make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Experience working on security products is a plus
  • 4+ years product development experience conducting research, or a Masters degree/PhD with 2+ years of product development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in anthropology, sociology, psychology, human-computer interaction (or other related field)
