Senior Engineer (AI Kernel)

Join Tenstorrent as a Senior Engineer (AI Kernel) and play a key role in developing and optimizing the software stack for our AI and RISC-V hardware. You will work closely with hardware engineering, IP delivery, customer support, and product teams to deliver high-performance software solutions. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining software components, diagnosing hardware/software interaction issues, and creating documentation and integration guides. This role offers the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge AI and RISC-V silicon IP and gain exposure to the complete silicon IP lifecycle.

• Develop and optimize the software stack for AI and RISC-V hardware, ensuring seamless integration for customers.
• Build and support a range of software components, from bare-metal firmware to system-level tools and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions tailored to customer architectures.
• Success in this role requires adaptability, strong system-level debugging skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between complex hardware IP and user-friendly software integration
• Experienced software engineer with a strong foundation in C/C++, system programming, and low-level software design
• Known for working effectively with cross-functional teams and external customers to resolve integration challenges
• Able to balance versatile, hands-on coding with high-level architectural problem-solving
• Background in firmware, device drivers, embedded systems, or hardware-software co-design
• Skilled at navigating and troubleshooting complex, full-stack software environments
