Staff Software Development Engineer

Join Equinix, a global leader in digital infrastructure, as a Staff Software Development Engineer. In this role, you will be part of the CIM team within the Digital and Innovation organization, responsible for delivering end-to-end observability for infrastructure and IBX environments. You will design, develop, and operate scalable, cloud-based platforms and products, while collaborating with globally distributed teams and product stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in full stack and cloud-native technologies, Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps practices.

• Thrives in fast-moving enterprise platform teams
• Five or more years of strong Java development experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Five or more years of software engineering experience
• Concurrency
• Hibernate ORM, Maven, JUnit, JMeter, and LoadRunner
• Data structures
• Strong understanding of:
• Software engineering best practices
• Microservices, REST APIs, and Swagger
• Design patterns
• Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Spring Data, and React with TypeScript
• Strong experience with full-stack technologies, including:
• Algorithms
• Experience with:
• Micro-frontends and modern UI frameworks
• CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
• Agentic AI, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agent-orchestration frameworks
• Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Test-driven development (TDD)
• Relational database modelling, relational database management systems (RDBMSs), and NoSQL databases such as Redis, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra
