Backend Python Engineer

Unbabel is seeking a motivated Backend Python Engineer to join our team, as we expand our ability to deliver seamless, scalable cross-platform translation capabilities to our enterprise partners. You’ll drive forward the development, maintenance, and expansion of core backend services that power smooth, intelligent language solutions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement reliable architectures and core services
• Build, maintain, and optimize codebases in a testable and efficient manner
• Develop, optimize, and support critical services, infrastructure, and applications in production environments
• Help evolve our architecture for scale, resilience, and performance
• Break down complex problems and prioritize technical initiatives with product and engineering teams
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, automation, code quality, and architectural best practices
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with rapidly changing business and technical needs
• Respond collaboratively to platform and service challenges, employing rapid troubleshooting and prototyping when necessary
