About the role

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Revenue Team, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant pathology billing while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Oversee end-to-end revenue processes, including Medicare, DVA, private health funds and commercial billing, while driving revenue integrity and maximising compliant revenue recovery.
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance support to the Revenue Team, fostering a collaborative culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Drive system improvements and digital initiatives by optimising billing processes, supporting system enhancements, and ensuring efficient, reliable revenue management.
• Build strong partnerships with clinical, finance, IT and external stakeholders to resolve complex billing issues, strengthen compliance, and deliver operational and financial outcomes.

About you

• Proven experience leading a healthcare revenue, patient billing or accounts receivable team, with the ability to deliver high-quality, efficient and compliant billing services.
• Strong knowledge of pathology billing, the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), private health funds and healthcare funding, with a commitment to revenue integrity and compliance.
• Experience using TrakCare or similar patient administration and billing systems, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, improve processes and support system enhancements.
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills, including strong Microsoft Excel capability, with experience interpreting data to drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
• A collaborative and inspiring leader with excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, capable of building strong relationships and leading positive change across multidisciplinary teams.
