Job Summary
Greensboro College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. The assistant coach will support all aspects of the women's soccer program, including recruiting, student-athlete development, practice and game preparation, travel coordination, and program administration. The position reports directly to the Head Women's Soccer Coach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Recruiting
- Assist in the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with club, high school, and academy coaches.
- Attend recruiting events, showcases, tournaments, and other recruiting opportunities as assigned.
- Communicate with prospective student-athletes and their families through phone calls, email, text messaging, and campus visits.
- Assist with the coordination of official and unofficial campus visits.
Coaching and Player Development
- Assist with the planning and implementation of training sessions.
- Provide technical, tactical, and positional instruction to student-athletes.
- Support the development of team and individual performance goals.
- Assist with video analysis, scouting reports, and opponent preparation.
Match Day Preparation
- Assist with match preparation and game management.
- Support pre-game, in-game, and post-game operations.
- Assist with team travel and logistical arrangements.
- Contribute to scouting, statistical analysis, and competitive strategy.
Program Administration
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the women's soccer program.
- Maintain recruiting databases and communication records.
- Assist with scheduling, travel planning, equipment management, and compliance-related responsibilities.
- Support home and away game administration.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Women's Soccer Coach.
- **Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree.**
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for recruiting and team activities.
Preferred
- Collegiate coaching or playing experience.
- NCAA recruiting experience.
- Goalkeeping coaching experience.
- Experience with video analysis, recruiting software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
