Position Summary You will lead and develop a team of electrical technicians who keep our manufacturing equipment reliable, safe, and compliant. You will work closely with production, quality, safety and supply chain colleagues to plan maintenance, deliver improvements, and solve technical challenges. Responsibilities This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: - Lead, coach and develop a electrical team to deliver safe, compliant maintenance and high equipment availability. - Plan and oversee day-to-day electrical maintenance, including planned preventative maintenance and reactive troubleshooting. - Use data from the maintenance system to prioritise work, manage spares, and reduce downtime. - Lead small capital and reliability improvement projects that increase availability and improve safety. - Ensure all electrical work meets site quality, safety and regulatory requirements and supports audit readiness. - Build strong working relationships with production, quality, contractors and suppliers to meet business goals. - Coordinate and supervise 3rd party contractors supporting electrically aligned contracts. Why You? Work pattern This role is based in the United Kingdom at our Irvine site 5 days a week. (no remote working) Basic Qualification We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals - Recognised electrical engineering qualification such as HNC/HND, NVQ level 3 apprenticeship, or equivalent technical qualification. - Strong hands-on electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting. - Experience supervising or leading small teams or shifts. - Experience working in a regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing environment. - Practical knowledge of electrical systems, motor control, power distribution and instrumentation. - Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar asset management tools. - Experience managing installations and maintenance within a hazardous environment, i.e COMPEX 14. Preferred Qualification If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus - Degree in an electrical or electronic engineering discipline or working towards one. - Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or other highly regulated industries. - Experience with reliability methods such as root cause analysis, RCA and corrective action plans. - Familiarity with building services and utilities (eg, purified water, steam, chilled water, compressed air). - Experience managing contractors, spares budgets and technical specifications. Manufacturing at the Irvine site is for antibiotics. It is advised that you take this into consideration when deciding to apply for this position.
