About The Role

RCM Analyst II – Japan Customer Support Labcorp is seeking an RCM Analyst II – Japan Customer Support to join our team in Shanghai China. Job Responsibilities: Serve as the primary contact for questions related to invoice formatting, invoice content, supporting documentation, and billing schedules. Review invoice packages for accuracy and completeness before customer delivery. Coordinate with internal teams (Commercial Sales, Project Management, Finance, RCM, and Operations) to resolve discrepancies or missing information. Provide guidance to sponsors on navigating billing documentation, tax requirements, and payment procedures. Provide support to deliver the requirements specific to the APAC market including invoice preparation and submission to customers. Monitor outstanding receivables for Japan customers and maintain accurate aging reports. Will also assist with other APAC countries as required. Proactively contact customers to address overdue balances, payment delays, or missing remittance details. Investigate and resolve payment allocation issues, short pays, foreign exchange questions, or tax‑related inquiries. Partner with Finance to ensure timely cash application and accurate AR reporting. Preparation of monthly narratives that describe complete account status by protocol/study of significant collection issues Create and maintain client aging reports for designated clients that may include collection status. Maintain these reports with a high level of confidentiality. Participate in conference calls when applicable to deliver information to the client and/or internal customers. Respond promptly to sponsor questions related to invoices, contracts, PO requirements, and study‑specific billing matters. Provide clear, professional communication in both English and Japanese to support sponsor understanding and strengthen customer relationships. Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams while maintaining ownership until full resolution. Document customer interactions and resolutions to ensure transparency and continuity. Minimum Qualifications: 2 or more years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management, billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting. Knowledge of invoice processes, collections workflows, and financial documentation standards. Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret billing data and resolve discrepancies. 3 months or more experience using ERP and operational systems with proven knowledge. 3 months or more experience in life sciences, CRO, or healthcare industries. Fluent in English and Japanese. Additional Job Standards: Strong planning, organizational, and problem solving skills. Extensive knowledge of and ability to use spreadsheet packages. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Japan specific invoicing expectations, local business practices, and sponsor communication norms. Experience supporting international customers across multiple time zones. Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., ERP, AR platforms) and Microsoft Office tools. Proficient in Excel and Word (intermediate level) Exemplary multi-tasking ability. Strong attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact.
