Your new role – challenging and future-oriented

Design Electrical System Drawings of Protection and Control Panels in accordance with customer specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools.

Develop logic diagrams and protection schemes based on technical drawings and further customer specifications.

Developing logic diagram for Load sharing and shedding system

Prepare (FAT & SAT) Factory & Site Acceptance Test procedures for protection systems projects.

Collaborate with a team of professionals to develop electrical Systems that meet industry standards and customer requirements.

Be a technical leader in projects or lead other team members in project activities.

Be one of our primary customer interfaces, including trouble shooting and commissioning support.

Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including design, implementation, and commissioning phases.

Occasionally provide technical support to sales team with development of project scope of work, sales estimates, and proposals.

A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant field.

5+ years of experience in electrical design in the Power Systems protection and Control Engineering Field.

Proven experience working with Engineering Base (EB) Software and the Global Engineering Library (GEL) database for design.

Knowledge of Siemens, GE, SEL, ABB, and others relay/automation products and associated software.

Applied knowledge of transmission and distribution numerical relay and protection; capable of designing and specifying them; capable of approving and supervising the designs of other engineers.

Communication Network Technologies, including Design and hardware configuration.

Communication protocols such as IEC61850 (MMS/GOOSE/SMV), DNP, Modbus, IEC103, IEC101, IEC104, Profinet, Profibus.

Control and Protection commissioning experience.

Knowledge of ANSI standards, IEC standards.

Around 45% of travel is expected depending on project assignments and requirements.

Knowledge of Protection and Automation Systems of Electrical Systems.

Project Lead experience.

Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Visio tools.

Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience working with AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical.

Knowledge of Global Engineering Library (GEL) and creation of local Database, creation of worksheets, EB Table, and Cabinet Routing with Engineering Base Software.

Applied knowledge of Medium and High Voltage Protection

Medium voltage protection schemes (including design of transfer schemes and reverse interlocking schemes)

Generator Protection

Line Differential and Distance Protection

Knowledgeable on communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP, Profibus, OPC, Modbus, IEC101, IEC104.

Professional Engineer license (PE US).

C Programming Language experience.

Experience working with MicroStation Software.

A degree or equivalent experience / professionally accredited or recognized in an engineering subject area preferably relating to the fields of Controls, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Software.

Working experience with industrial controls systems applications and industrial IT networks, specific experience with Siemens S7, Siemens S7 TIA, PCS7, WinCC, T3000 or having worked with similar products used for the control and protection of industrial steam turbine technology or general process plant operations.

Working knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT related tools and software for business analytics and project management.

Experience with working with P&ID’s and ISA/ANSI standards.
