SOM (Sales Order Management) Rep I (32636)

Description

Under direct supervision, responsible for processing orders, data entry, customer quotes, for materials or merchandise from direct customer contact supporting the Western Region Sales team

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for processing orders for materials or merchandise from direct customer contact.
• Create and monitor work orders to meet production and customer requirements.
• Create sales order’s ensuring proper documentation and approvals are obtained prior to order booking.
• Maintains customer files with sales purchase orders, sales orders and other information.
• Tracks sales shipment, delivery, and backlog activities, providing internal sales reports when needed.
• Provides technical assistance to customers and sales personnel via telephone.
• Act as a Liaison between customers and manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, sales, field service and accounting to resolve status, production, delivery and billing inquiries.
• Provide status and data for weekly customer reporting.

Qualifications

Education

• High School diploma, Associates or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Four (4) to Six (6) years administrative experience, preferably in a professional office setting.
• Working knowledge of general policies and procedures.
• Strong Customer Relations skills.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Sufficient PC skills to manage information and good ten key data entry skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong relationship building skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues and customer.
• Demonstrated teamwork and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be detail oriented.
