Continuous Improvement Process Specialist

Scope: Regional

Location: Tultitlan, Mexico

Terms & Conditions: Full time, Local work level terms

The Role

The Continuous Improvement Process Specialist will drive Continuous Improvement (CI) and Process Excellence across HR Operations and Services. This role focuses on optimizing Hire-to-Retire processes, reducing waste, implementing automation, and enhancing operational effectiveness through Lean, Six Sigma, standardization, and digital solutions.

The incumbent will partner with HR stakeholders, technology teams, and service delivery teams to identify improvement opportunities, implement sustainable solutions, and strengthen governance, controls, and performance monitoring.

What you´ll be responsible for

Process Optimization

  • Analyze end-to-end Hire-to-Retire processes, specifically Onboarding, Internal Movements, and Separations, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify non-value-added activities and implement solutions to eliminate waste.
  • Standardize best practices across regions and teams.
  • Conduct gap analyses and implement corrective actions.
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies to identify risks and design effective controls.
  • Ensure robust process documentation, including SOPs, change registers, controls testing, and audit readiness.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities through Power Apps, Robotics, and AI solutions.
  • Promote a digital-first and automation-driven culture.

Continuous Improvement & Automation

  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, and DMAIC initiatives.
  • Train and coach teams on Lean methodologies and process improvement tools.
  • Drive defect reduction and process capability improvements.
  • Use Root Cause Analysis methodologies to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
  • Design and implement touchless process solutions leveraging automation and AI.
  • Partner with HR Technology and IT teams to develop business intelligence and reporting solutions.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders across multiple countries to drive process improvements and change initiatives.
  • Facilitate governance forums, workshops, and process performance reviews.
  • Work closely with HR Technology, IT, Procurement, and other business enablers to deploy fit-for-purpose solutions.

Performance Monitoring

  • Define, measure, and track KPIs for HR Operations and Services.
  • Develop dashboards and management reports to provide leadership visibility.
  • Conduct external benchmarking using organizations such as APQC, Gartner, NelsonHall, and other industry sources to identify best practices and improvement opportunities.

What We Are Looking For?

Experience & Qualifications

  • 6–9 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Process Excellence roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience within HR Shared Services, Global Business Services, or HR Operations environments.
  • Demonstrated experience across Hire-to-Retire processes.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with automation technologies, robotics, process digitization, or AI-enabled solutions.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Workday and workflow management tools.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence, reporting, and analytics tools.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams.

Desiraable

  • Experience with HR platforms such as SAP, Workday, UKG, Dayforce, or Kronos.
  • Experience in Global Business Services or Shared Services environments.
  • Project Management certification or formal PMO training.
