Feed Delivery Person

Description

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT: Transportation of products in a safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Safely and efficiently transport products
• Properly carry out a pre-trip and post-trip inspection and document findings in a DVIR each time the truck is driven
• Properly report and fix any items on the truck needing repair before driving on any public roadway
• Properly maintain and take pride in equipment being driven to carry out job functions
• Obey all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Proper use of placards and product labelling when needed
• Complete yearly DOT training course
• Maintain current CDL and endorsements along with medical card
• Communicate timelines or potential delays in deliveries
• Loading and unloading of truck in warehouse
• Liquid feed delivery
• Assist other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Proper CDL for truck being driven
• Proper endorsements for products being transported

Medical Card

• Physical capability to move heavy materials
• Able to lift/move 50 pounds or more when required
• Able to work seasonal hours that require overtime and weekends to accomplish work goals indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to drive a variety of manual transmission vehicles

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Truck driving experience or ability to learn under the direct supervision of a trained CDL driver
