Manufacturing Process Engineer (Cable & Wire Harness)

  • Office location: Sto Tomas, Batangas
  • Work Setup: Full onsite

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Mid-shift

Role Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will support and optimize manufacturing processes for cable and wire harness production. This role focuses on improving productivity, quality, and process efficiency while supporting new product introductions and day-to-day manufacturing operations. The position works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and reliable production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

At least 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in cable assembly, wire harness, electronics, electromechanical, or precision manufacturing; exposure in high-mix / low-volume manufacturing is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process improvement, and quality and industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620; IPC-A-610; or J-STD-001.

Experience in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering-related tools/software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes and work instructions for cable and wire harness production.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including process setup, tooling coordination, and production readiness.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production or quality-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production teams to support efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, equipment enhancements, and automation opportunities when applicable.
  • Maintain manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and engineering change records.
  • Support process validation, qualification activities, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production personnel to ensure consistent product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
