As a Data migration engineer, you will drive end-to-end data migrations by extracting, transforming, and loading data between systems. Ensure data quality, minimize downtime, and deliver seamless transitions while maintaining governance, performance, and stakeholder alignment We are looking for candidates with a genuine desire and drive to deliver top technology solutions to today's markets With this position we offer Join the Market place technology – Cliet Solutions organization, where we are focused on delivering to clients according to their requirements. The full team consists of 4 different client facing areas, Solution scope management, Solution architecture, Client on boarding as well as data migration services. Role Responsibilities - As a Data migration engineer, your focus will be developing and implementing end-to-end data migration tools. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries, e.g. Sweden, Lithuania, etc. We design, plan, and implement comprehensive data migration strategies and methodologies. We analyze legacy data structures, map them to target schemas, and execute sophisticated data transformations. We identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, bottlenecks, and performance issues during the migration process. An equal opportunity to partner with project managers, system architects, and business units to understand data requirements and ensure migration goals align with business objectives! We compose and maintain clear technical documentation for migration processes, mapping rules, and system configurations. Genuine interest in systems, solutions and understanding of software development lifecycles! We expect you to have: 7+ years of proven experience in data engineering, database administration, or specifically in data migration roles. Deep understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc. Experience solid understanding of Java development Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation. Experience working with Linux operating system, Flexibility to travel customer sites Strong English interpersonal skills for technical documentation and cross-functional teamwork. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). It would be great if you: The ideal candidate has a background as a Business Analyst as well as Software engineering to code, for example migration scripts, in general a developer skills.
