Superintendent in Training (Sioux Falls, SD)

GPC is a private construction firm that specializes in building projects. We are looking for responsible individuals to join our team and train in all aspects of construction work!

GPC is seeking a Superintendent in Training. This person will monitor construction projects for their entire lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• -On-Site Project Administration
• -Document review
• -Daily inspection/logging
• -Safety inspection
• -Inspection coordination
• -Schedule management/coordination
• -Cost management
• -Personnel Management - Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback.
• -Technical management/participation with field personnel in self performed trade work, demolition, concrete, carpentry, etc.
• -Subcontractor coordination
• -Quality control
• -Coordination with project management team
• -Provide progress and project updates.
• -Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly

Qualifications

• -Previous experience in construction site management, principals, and practice and/or applicable education.
• -Basic knowledge of quality and safety guidelines for construction job sites
• -Good understanding of construction operations and processes. Basic proficiency in reading/reviewing construction plans/specs.
• -Proficient in MS Office, Excel
• -Degree in Engineering, construction management or similar field or applicable experience is a plus.
• -Good Driving record & Valid Driver's License
