About the Role
- We’re hiring an Email Marketing Specialist to build and optimize email campaigns, automation workflows, and audience segmentation that drive engagement and revenue.
- In this role, you’ll own the full lifecycle — from campaign creation and list management to deliverability and performance optimization .
- If you’re experienced with ESP platforms, email copywriting, and data-driven optimization , this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Campaign Development & Execution
- Build and launch campaigns using:
- HubSpot
- Klaviyo
- Marketo
- Mailchimp
- ActiveCampaign
- Write subject lines, email copy, and CTAs tailored to audience segments
- Design responsive email templates (basic HTML/CSS edits as needed)
Audience Segmentation & List Management
- Manage and maintain databases ( 20k–200k+ contacts )
- Segment audiences by:
- Persona
- Lifecycle stage
- Engagement level
- Geography
- Clean lists regularly (remove bounces, inactive users, spam risks )
Automation & Nurture Programs
- Build drip campaigns, nurture sequences, and behavioral workflows
- Set up flows such as:
- Lead nurturing
- Re-engagement
- Abandoned cart sequences
- Test workflows to ensure accurate execution
Deliverability & Compliance
- Monitor inbox placement and sender reputation
- Manage:
- SPF, DKIM, DNS settings
- Suppression lists
- Ensure compliance with:
- CAN-SPAM
- GDPR
- CCPA
Performance Optimization
- Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, CTAs, and send times
- Analyze key metrics:
- Open rates
- CTR
- Conversions
- Unsubscribes
- Continuously improve campaigns based on performance data
Reporting & Analytics
- Build weekly and monthly performance reports
- Track revenue attribution using ESP, CRM, and analytics tools
- Present insights and recommendations to marketing and sales teams
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in email marketing
- Proficiency in at least one ESP:
- HubSpot, Klaviyo, Marketo, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign
- Strong skills in:
- Excel / Google Sheets (segmentation, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email templates
- Strong copywriting and attention to detail
- Comfortable working remote during U.S. business hours
Nice to Have
- Experience managing 50k+ contact databases
- Familiarity with deliverability tools (Litmus, GlockApps, Postmark)
- Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or B2B services
- Experience integrating ESPs with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot)
