Role Description

Job Title: AWS Cloud Support Engineers with Python in Banking Domain

Location: Sarjapur, Bengaluru

  • Hybrid Mode - 3 days WFO (Tues, Wed, Thurs) per week
  • Shift Time: 24*7 Rotational Shifts

Overview

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Support / SRE professional (5+ years) to support Compliance platforms.

This role focuses on ensuring high availability, reliability, and observability of systems supporting trade surveillance, regulatory reporting, and compliance monitoring, with strong exposure to real-time data pipelines and cloud-native architectures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2/L3 production support for compliance applications, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery
  • Monitor system health, logs, and alerts using CloudWatch and other observability tools
  • Support and troubleshoot Kafka-based streaming pipelines for trade and market data
  • Manage and optimize data workflows and queries in Snowflake
  • Support AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda) ensuring stability and performance
  • Debug and resolve issues in microservices-based architectures
  • Investigate and fix issues related to REST APIs, integrations, and downstream systems
  • Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and Lambda functions
  • Ensure compliance systems meet SLA, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with development, compliance, and business teams for faster resolution and system improvements

Required Skills (Priority Order)

Candidates should have working knowledge in the following areas, with preference as below

  • Apache Kafka – Strong troubleshooting of producers/consumers, lag monitoring, message failures
  • Snowflake – Query performance tuning, data validation, and issue debugging
  • AWS (Core Services) – Hands-on support experience with EC2, S3, IAM
  • CloudWatch – Log analysis, alerting, dashboarding
  • AWS Lambda – Debugging and supporting serverless workflows
  • Microservices Architecture – Understanding service dependencies and failure handling
  • REST APIs – API monitoring, debugging, and integration support

Domain Expertise (Preferred)

  • Experience in Broker-Dealer / Capital Markets compliance systems
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle, settlements, and regulatory reporting flows

SRE / Support Expectations

  • Strong ownership of production stability and uptime (SLAs/SLIs/SLOs)
  • Expertise in incident, problem, and change management processes
  • Ability to handle high-severity incidents and stakeholder communication
  • Focus on automation and reduction of operational toil
  • Continuous improvement of observability, alerting, and system resilience

Exposure to

Trade Surveillance systems

Transaction reporting platforms

AML / KYC workflows

Familiarity with audit requirements, data traceability, and regulatory SLAs
