Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc. (AVC) is hiring Environmental Applicators and Crew Supervisors to support vegetation management projects throughout Martin County and the Treasure Coast.

Whether you enjoy working independently or leading a field crew, AVC offers the opportunity to build a rewarding career with a stable, employee-owned company that has been serving Florida for forty years.

No vegetation management experience is required. We provide paid training and will help qualified employees obtain their Florida pesticide applicator license.

Position Opportunities

Environmental Applicator

Environmental Applicators work independently to manage invasive vegetation while protecting Florida's lakes, canals, wetlands, and conservation lands.

Responsibilities include

  • Perform herbicide applications safely and responsibly
  • Operate trucks, boats, trailers, and application equipment
  • Complete daily application records and reports
  • Inspect and maintain assigned equipment
  • Follow environmental regulations and company safety procedures

Crew Supervisor

Crew Supervisors lead and work alongside field crews performing vegetation management projects.

Responsibilities include

  • Lead daily field operations and assign work
  • Promote a safe, productive work environment
  • Work alongside crew members during field operations
  • Ensure quality standards are met
  • Complete daily reports and communicate with Project Managers

What We're Looking For

  • Dependable, safety-minded individuals
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Valid Florida driver's license with a good driving record
  • Willingness to obtain an FDACS pesticide applicator license within six months (training provided)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Commitment to working in a Drug-Free Workplace

Work Environment

This is an active outdoor position that includes working in Florida's heat and humidity, wetlands, standing water, dense vegetation, and uneven terrain. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical work, operating equipment, and working safely around wildlife and natural environments.
