Key Responsibilities 1. Power Plant Electrical Systems Operation and maintenance of generators, transformers, switchgear, motors, and protection systems. Monitoring electrical equipment performance and ensuring uninterrupted power generation. Troubleshooting electrical faults and coordinating repairs. 2. High-Voltage Equipment Managing substations, transmission interfaces, circuit breakers, isolators, and protection relays. Conducting testing and commissioning of new electrical equipment. Ensuring compliance with grid and safety standards. 3. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Preparing maintenance schedules. Analyzing equipment condition through testing and diagnostics. Reducing forced outages and improving plant availability. 4. Project Execution Reviewing electrical drawings and specifications. Supervising contractors during erection and commissioning activities. Coordinating with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and control teams. 5. Safety & Compliance Following electrical safety procedures and permit systems. Ensuring compliance with regulations from organizations such as Central Electricity Authority and other statutory bodies. Conducting safety audits and risk assessments. 6.
