Job Title- CPQ Consultant Location- Hyderabad/Bangalore Roles and Responsibilities Role Description : We are looking for a technically strong CPQ Consultant with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce CPQ / Steelbrick. The role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model design, automation, integrations, and revenue lifecycle processes including Lead-to-Opportunity, Quote-to-Cash (QTC), and Order-to-Cash (OTC). The candidate will be responsible for platform configuration, CPQ maintenance and optimization, environment management, and integration support. Technical Responsibilities 1. Salesforce CPQ Configuration & Management · Configure: o Product catalog o Product Bundles o Configuration Rules o Price Rules o Discount Schedules o Summary Variables o Lookup Queries · Manage: o Quote Templates o Advanced Approvals o Contracting and Amendments o Subscription Management and Renewals · Implement pricing logic (tiered, block, contracted pricing) · Troubleshoot CPQ calculation sequence and pricing errors · Maintain CPQ data model (Quote, Quote Line, Product, Price Book, Contract, Subscription) · Optimize performance of large bundles and complex configurations 2. Lead-to-Opportunity Process Management · Configure Lead Assignment Rules and Auto-Response Rules · Maintain Opportunity stages, forecasting categories, and pipeline visibility · Implement validation logic and stage gating · Build pipeline reports and forecasting dashboards 3. Quote-to-Cash (QTC) & Order-to-Cash (OTC) · Support end-to-end QTC lifecycle: o Opportunity → Quote → Contract → Order → Invoice · Configure Order Management objects and automation · Ensure data synchronization between Salesforce and ERP/Billing systems · Support API integrations (REST/SOAP) · Troubleshoot integration failures and data sync issues · Work with Finance on revenue recognition logic alignment 4. Integrations & Technical Capabilities · Support integrations using: o REST/SOAP APIs o Platform Events o Named Credentials o External Services · Understanding of Apex (for debugging and minor enhancements) · Experience with SOQL and data querying · Assist developers in deployment planning and testing · Follow Salesforce release management processes and sandbox refresh activities. · Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards · Participate in UAT and regression testing cycles Qualifications & Required Skills 3–5 years Salesforce experience. · 2+ years hands-on Salesforce CPQ implementation experience · Strong knowledge of Salesforce data model and relational architecture · Experience with Flows · Experience troubleshooting CPQ pricing logic · Knowledge of integrations and API concepts · Familiarity with sandbox strategy and deployment lifecycle · Experience in Sales Cloud environment Preferred Certifications · Salesforce Certified Administrator · Salesforce CPQ Specialist or Admin · Platform App Builder (Plus) · Sales Cloud Consultant (Plus) Nice to Have · Experience with Revenue Cloud · Experience with Order Management · DevOps tools (Gearset, Copado) · Experience with Apex & LWC Why join Sonata Software?
