Your Impact
You will contribute to Axon's product line as part of the Axon Robotics team (formerly Sky-Hero). We are building career-defining, next-generation drones and robots in pursuit of our Moonshot: to cut gun-related deaths between police and the public by 50% over the next 10 years. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will advance Axon's mission to Protect Life by designing and prototyping the electronic boards and systems at the heart of mission-critical robots such as UAVs and UGVs.
This is a senior, hands-on design role within a fast-moving R&D team. You will work on densely populated, tightly packaged, battery-powered systems where size, weight and power constraints make every design decision consequential. Using EDA tools including Altium Designer and Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, you will solve demanding problems across the full breadth of electronics engineering — from analog to digital — and you will design, assemble and debug boards and prototypes as an active contributor to our R&D process.
Location: Brussels, Belgium
This role is based out of our Brussels office (West Brussels, Rue d'Enghien). Because we are rapidly prototyping confidential hardware, this team works on-site, with some flexibility unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that in-person collaboration fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship and shared success.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in the research and development of our next-generation products
- Design schematics and PCBs; test and verify prototypes; and support the Firmware and Software Engineering teams in bringing up new boards
- Design and build custom test systems for measuring the performance of our electronics
- Test and measure boards, multi-board assemblies and electronic components such as batteries and motors
- Support manufacturing and follow up on designs when changes are required due to component obsolescence or unavailability
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of industry-leading electronics design experience, with emphasis on densely populated, tightly packaged, battery-powered embedded systems

- Strong all-round electronics knowledge, from analog to digital
- Knowledge of at least one EDA package: Altium Designer and/or Cadence OrCAD
- Awareness of EMC and signal-integrity issues and best practices as they relate to PCB design
- Excellent hands-on skills: comfortable assembling board prototypes and using test equipment such as a DMM, oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer
- Knowledge of C and Python for test firmware development
- English proficiency required; French and/or Dutch are a plus
- Full EU working rights
